Hi, my name is Carla, and I’m a Nutritionist and passionate Keto Coach.
Like many people, I have yo-yo dieted for most of my adult life, looking for a way of eating that would keep me healthy, energetic and satisfied. As a psychology graduate, my post-graduate studies focused on health psychology and nutrition. Eager to prevent disease and sustain well-being, I tried eating vegetarian, fruit for breakfast, calorie restriction, low fat and other eating styles that didn’t work in the long term.
Over the years of studying and researching health and nutrition I kept feeling like the answer was out there, but couldn’t find it. In the meantime I suffered from allergies, polycystic ovaries, adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia and pain that limited all of my daily activities. Bouts of post-viral lethargy left me on the couch for weeks at a time. I fell into the obese category, based on my BMI, and in retrospect I was probably pre-diabetic.
Initially I gave up all sugar, and although this helped, it wasn’t enough. Then in researching sugar I came across information on low-carb and tried that for a couple of years, which really seemed to suit me. It was the first time in my life that I was able to slowly but steadily lose weight without putting it back on. But it was only when I discovered the ketogenic lifestyle that my world was transformed.
I now sleep better, have more energy, fewer allergies, am in less pain than I’ve been for years and I’m a healthy weight.
My background in psychology and nutrition combined with my personal experience and passion for keto puts me in a perfect position to help other people reach their health and well-being goals. I also have a lot of practice catering to food allergies and intolerances in my family, including gluten, dairy, soy, egg and salicylates.
For me, keto is a lifestyle, not a diet. It keeps me satisfied. I enjoy what I eat. Best of all, it is sustainable because I don’t feel deprived. If you would like to join me on a journey towards health, energy and well being, please contact me… I’d love to coach you.
May you be happy and healthy,
